5 Benefits of CEREC Same-Day Dentistry

    CEREC Same-Day Dentistry

CEREC technology can restore damaged teeth with ceramic fillings within just a few hours. The innovation behind CEREC tech allows for easier tooth restoration, more convenient treatment, improved accuracy and a better overall experience for our patients. In one visit, Evanson Family Dentistry in Parker, CO, can offer you natural-looking ceramic crowns right in the comfort of our office in just one appointment!

    What is CEREC Dentistry?

CEREC dentistry stands for “Chair-side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.” CEREC tech means that you can benefit from the convenience of natural-looking ceramic crowns, made on site while you wait, in a single office visit.

What speeds up the process? CAD/CAM technology. This revolutionary equipment, when applied to dentistry, can make a digital impression of your teeth and create your own ceramic crown individualized just for you. Leave our office with your new crown securely in your mouth without the headache of returning for multiple office visits.

    The 5-Step Process

The same-day dentistry process has five main steps:

    1. You participate in a one-on-one consultation in our EvansonDDS.com office.
    2. A camera captures the area to be treated.
    3. The dental prosthesis is created as a 3D model on the computer.
    4. The restoration is created on the computer and milled from a ceramic block.
    5. The finished ceramic restoration ready to be inserted just a little while later.

What Are the Benefits of CEREC Dentistry?

Understanding what CEREC dentistry can offer you compared to traditional methods of the past can be best understood by considering the following 5 key benefits of treatment:

    No Unpleasant Impression Material

Say goodbye to biting on impression material for several minutes, having a numb mouth and jaw ache. Your dentist now has a camera that can capture your full dentition in seconds and then transfer this to the computer.

    No Temporary Crowns

Temporary prostheses are exactly what the name suggests: temporary. With CEREC the final prosthesis is inserted directly without any temporary compromises needed.

    No Follow-Up Appointment

CEREC enables your dentist to insert esthetic ceramic crowns or partial crowns in a single session. The advantage of this is that only one appointment is necessary, which means only one injection, and then you can deal with other things than visits to the dentist.

Long-Term Stability You Can Count On

More than just a theory: With CEREC you can rely on quality that has been proven millions of times over in the practice. Furthermore, thanks to your new dental prosthesis made by CEREC, your smile will be just as lovely many years later as it is directly after receiving the prosthesis.

CEREC Tooth Looks Like a Real Tooth, is Strong Like a Real Tooth

Due to the translucency of ceramics, the dental prosthesis looks like a real tooth. In a ceramic dental prosthesis, no dark edges are visible as is so often the case in conventional crowns.Ceramic is very close to the hardness of the natural tooth, thus preventing wear of the tooth, which unfortunately so often occurs with other materials.Ceramic is very well tolerated so allergic reactions are largely excluded. This is not the case with other methods and materials. The CEREC method is a gentle treatment for your teeth. Only the carious tooth surface is removed. The remaining healthy tooth substance is preserved.
